Vault Anywhere with Vaultdogs!

Fast and Durable Elevated Wood Pole Vault Runways Since 1991

Since 1991, Vaultdogs has been dedicated to creating fast, elevated wood pole vault runways. Our runways are a highlight of our Annual 4th of July Pole Vault Exhibition in Seward, Nebraska. Perfect for high schools, colleges, and private use, our runways are designed for peak performance and durability.

Why Choose Vaultdogs?

  • Renowned for speed and durability.
  • Some runways have been in use for over 20 years and still perform like new. (For best performance, store runways dry locations, maintenance will be required to insure longevity of use)
  • Engineered for top-tier performance, supporting vaults up to 19 feet.
  • Used by some of the best pole vaulters in the USA.

Superior Construction

Our runways are built from Pine, engineered for strength and flexibility to allow maximum speed down the runway and a strong platform for the take-off. It is recommended to use an optional rubber surface that can be applied to each section or as a roll-out. For outdoor use, we offer treated lumber for an extra cost.

  • Measurements: Each section is 39″ wide, 8’3″ long, and 8″ high.
  • Plant Box: Standard 20 cm depth after applying the 3/8 inch rubber surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

How heavy is each section?

  • Each section weighs about 155 pounds with a rubber surface. Easily moved by two people. *Treated outdoor sections can weigh 50 pounds more.

How do they connect?

  • Tab and slot system—no hardware needed for setup.

Do they move or slide around?

  • No, the runway’s weight and ground friction keep it stable.

Do I need a box collar?

  • Recommended but not necessary for added safety.

Do I need the rubber surface?

  • Optional, but it extends the runway’s lifespan by protecting the wood from spikes.
  • If you wish Vaultdogs to find a rubber surface for you, we will connect to our suppliers and have the surface dropped shipped at their costs and fees. A quote can be requested if required.

Do you deliver?

  • Yes, within a 400-mile radius for a fee. For longer distances, we provide LTL freight quotes with shipping costs approved by the client.

Are they difficult to store?

  • No, they require an 8×8 foot space and can be stacked up to 8 sections high, which is just over 5 feet.

What is the highest vault achieved on a Vaultdogs runway?

  • Multiple vaults over 19 feet.

Why shouldn’t I just build my own?

  • With decades of experience, our runways are perfected for immediate use. DIY may require extensive modifications and adjustments.
